A gorgeous chunky little locket with horseshoe detail to the front and a smooth slab of carnelian hard stone to the back.
The locket opens with ease and the original glass panels are intact, one side empty and the other containing a small lock of hair.
The face of the locket is solid 9ct gold as is the jump ring. The outer edges and inner fittings are gold cased, common practice for the era in which it was made.
