What a beauty!

I’ve never had an Albert with this style of link before (I don't *think*!) and I must say, I am all for it!

Classic but with a twist. A good Albert chain is an absolute essential for any gold lover, in my humble opinion, so effortless to dress up or down, they will be forever cool and chic.

The colour on this babe is amazing, much more yellow and buttery than you’d expect with antique 9ct yellow gold, which will always have a little warmth in it. There’s a reason for this; it has been expertly gilded to ensure a rich buttery glow, I would have put money on this being 18ct for sure. Rosier gold has been commonly gilded throughout time, both to appeal to the yellow lovers, but also those who prefer higher carats. The main thing to remember here is that we’re talking about gold on gold, and a lovely substantial gilding (not so thick the hallmarks are ruined!) that won’t wear off after a few years of wear. I have seen gilded Alberts many times, and they can appear garishly yellow, they just don’t look right. This simply looks 18ct, just gorgeous.

The main body of the chain has been extended (historically) at each end with semi hollow curb links and this is how we've got the great length of 17.25". If you would like these removing to take the chain back to its original length of 16" just leave me a note at checkout and I'll have this done for you.

High carat lovers, you know what to do.

Please expect signs of wear to include kinks in links, surface wear to gold, scuffs to stones and accept this as part and parcel of buying second hand jewellery. I will be as clear as I can with item descriptions and condition statements and aim to make sure you are aware of any potential defects before you buy. Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the condition statement.
