A piece of superb quality, this late Victorian guilloche enamel old mine cut plaque ring dates to c1880.
The star of the show is the .25 carat cushion cut diamond, full of fire and character, complete with a high crown sitting proud of its setting, chunky facets and an open culet. It's set with a super fine gold bezel against a square plaque of deep royal blue guilloche enamel. The enamel, engine turned beneath translucent blue glass, beautifully preserved and in pristine condition.
Finished in solid, weighty 18 carat gold the shoulders taper elegantly away from the square face giving the ring a bold yet elegant presence on the finger.
The underside of the face is lightly engraved with the initials M F, a moment in time, captured forever.
A wonderful piece of history to add to your collection.

Please expect signs of wear to include kinks in links, surface wear to gold, scuffs to stones and accept this as part and parcel of buying second hand jewellery. I will be as clear as I can with item descriptions and condition statement and aim to make sure you are aware of any potential defects before you buy.
