A first for me. I normally steer clear of anything that isn't solid gold, HOWEVER, I thought that these could be a great placeholder if you're saving for the real deal.

But Soph, what is rolled gold?  It was a practise used by fusing thin sheets of gold to base metal, often silver. The metal is heat bonded then rolled into flat sheets. Unlike modern gold plated jewellery (which rubs off), the gold conent in rolled gold is much high (around x100). It was first used in England in the 1800s.

The dog clip is marked RG.
