A super sweet 18 carat gold signet ring with crisp hallmarks for Birmingham 1858.
The centre holds a turquoise cabochon sitting in an 8 point start setting, this kind of setting is very indicative to the era in which it was made. I’m unsure if the turquoise is original to the setting or is a later addition but it pairs perfectly with the glow of the high carat gold.
There is a small amount of jewellers adhesive to one side of the cabochon (as is often the case with cabachons in antique jewellery), visible under loupe and camera magnification.
Currently a tiny size F.5 / 3.25 (and fitting more like an F / 3) we can take it up a max of three ring sizes and while we always try our best to preserve the hallmarks please do be aware that they may be affected.
If there is a tiny fingered Cinderella out there, now is your time to shine!
*turquoise is a porous material therefore I recommend that you don't submerge this piece in water and be careful when applying hand cream/sun cream etc
