It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to retail a double Albert under £1000. You know that there has been a dramatic increase in the price of gold in the last 12 months and finding substantial antique chains that are at the lower end of the weight/price spectrum isn’t easy, that’s why you’ve not seen many chains hitting the site.
The 4mm semi hollow links are nice and tight and in good condition, no one is going to know it's not a heavy, solid piece unless they take it from round your neck. Don't be put off by the words 'semi hollow'; we say this when the core of the links aren't solid but you can trust me that they are well made, generous in gold, free from damage and the seams are very close.
The t-bar is fixed meaning you can wear it to the front or hide it at the back without it sliding around. The dog clips have slightly misaligned over the years but are still fully functional and secure. Next to the t-bar is a tiny little bolt clasp perfect for hanging a charm or two.
The colour of the gold is on the yellow side of old 9 carat but it does have some warmth indicative of the era in which it was made.
A super buy!

All of my pieces are at the very least pre-loved and most of them are vintage or antique. This item is not brand new and as such, will not look brand new. Please expect signs of wear to include kinks in links, surface wear to gold, scuffs to stones and accept this as part and parcel of buying second hand jewellery. I will be as clear as I can with item descriptions and condition statement and aim to make sure you are aware of any potential defects before you buy.
