May I present you with one of the best signet rings I’ve had the pleasure of owning.

The quality of this ring cannot be overlooked. It was an impressive piece in 1927 and it is an impressive piece today at 96 years old.

A slice of powdery lilac agate is set into a generous amount of glowing, buttery 18ct gold. The ring is solid at every angle and the presence is there in wear; you know you’re wearing it, you’re proud of wearing it, how could you not be?

The craftsmanship is sublime. The shoulder detail runs continuously around the band, there’s not a millimetre of this piece that hasn’t been considered. The closed back adds another layer to the quality, this could have been left open as often they are but no, fill it with gold please sir.

One the inside of the band the serial number B4802 has been lightly engraved; this could be from the original manufacturer or it could mean the piece has at some point passed through the hands of a pawnbroker.

Certainly one of the best items I've had in stock and I can't wait to see who becomes its new owner.
