With the demand for antique gold at an all time high I've made it a bit of an unintentional mission to try and bring you the best chains that I can find and retail under £1000. There have been a few really great fancy ones recently but this is the first classic curb under a grand in a while.
 
The 4.3mm semi hollow links are nice and tight and in excellent condition, no one is going to know it's not a heavy, solid piece unless they take it from round your neck. Don't be put off by the words 'semi hollow'; we say this when the core of the links aren't solid but you can trust me that they are well made, generous in gold, free from damage and the seams are nice and close.
 
The t-bar is fixed meaning you can wear it to the front or hide it at the back without it sliding around. The dog clips have slightly misaligned but by less than a millimetre and are fully functional and secure. Next to the t-bar is a tiny little bolt clasp with a puffy heart hanging from it, delightful!
 
The colour of the gold is on the yellow side of old 9 carat but it does have some warmth  indicative of the era in which it was made.
